JUNE WISHLIST

It's been a fair while since I've done a wishlist post. June is just around the corner, which means by huge post-exam shopping trip with my mom is coming soon. I also hope some of these items go on sale in the summer, like this gorgeous suede fringe jacket that I've had my eyes on for months. Although it's almost summer and everyone is pulling their sundresses out, this month black, leather, lace, burgundy and shades of green are dominating my wishlist which is nothing new. I guess some things never change. These will forever be my favorite colours/textures, no matter the season, although I did manage to sneak in those slightly summery mint flats into my wishlist.

Minęło już trochę czasu od mojej ostatniej Wishlist. Czerwiec jest tuż za rogiem, co oznacza moją po-egzaminową wycieczkę na zakupy z mamą. Mam jednak nadzieję, że niektóre z tych rzeczy będą przecenione w lato, na przykład ta cudowna zamszowa kurtka z frędzlami, na którego punkcie mam obsesję od kilku miesięcy. Mimo, że zbliża się lato i wszyscy wyciągają na wierch swoje letnie sukienki, w tym miesiącu czerń, skóra, koronki, bordowy i odcienie zieleni dominują moją listę życzeń, co nie jest żadną nowością. Niektóre rzeczy po prostu zawsze pozostają takie same. Te kolory chyba zawsze będą moimi ulubionymi, nie ważne jaka jest pora roku, chociaż muszę dodać, że udało mi się wcisnąć te nieco letnie miętowe balerinki do tej listy.

Now, this is what I'm talking about. After an inconsistent month or two of constant rain interrupted by short sunny days it finally feels like spring. I love everything about this outfit; I got this new skirt and ring a few weeks ago in Urban Outfitters and I've been just waiting for the perfect day to wear them. Also, I almost forgot how comfortable my converse are. I haven't worn them for months because I was afraid I'd get mud on them when it was raining but the weather is finally perfect for wearing them and hopefully it will stay this way for the next month *fingers crossed*.

Surprisingly, this weather is very hard to come across in Belgium, even in May. In fact, this month has been the opposite of a spring season; I can't remember a day without rain (I even had to switch out my coats *sigh*) and I'm pretty sure there is a virus going around the school because a couple people, including myself, have been out with a runny nose, headaches, coughing and whatnot. Imagine my relief when, after three days of recovery and after a depressing couple of days, the sun finally came out.

MAC LIPSTICKS FIRST IMPRESSION

As you might have noticed, I barely every leave the house without a lipstick on. They have become an essential addition to my daily outfits and my collection of lipsticks is progressively growing. When my mom went to New York with her sister I took the opportunity to ask her to bring me back some MAC lipsticks. Now, don't get the wrong impression, we DO have them in Belgium and Poland but in both places they're twice as expensive, if not more, and i think it's common knowledge that everything is cheaper in the States. My mom brought me back  my first ever MAC lipsticks: Up The Amp and Velvet Teddy. I know this "review" will be useless to everyone but it's just my first experience with them and I want to share that I'm amazed by how perfect they are in every way. I love the application, texture, colors and everything else about them. And besides, Velvet Teddy? Cutest name ever. 

Mogliście zauważyć, że żadko wychodzę z domu bez szminki. Stały się one istotną częścią moich strojów na codzień i moja kolekcja szminek progresywnie się powiększa. Skorzystałam z wizyty mojej mamy w Nowym Jorku i poprosiłam ją, aby przywiozła mi szminki MAC. Nie zinterpretujcie tego w zły sposób, szminki te są oczywiście sprzedawane zarówno w Belgii jak i w Polsce ale w obu miejscach kosztują dwa lub nawet trzy razy tyle, a wszystko jest znacznie tańsze w Stanach. Dostałam moje pierwsze szminki MAC'a: Up The Amp i Velvet Teddy. Jestem zachwycona ich perfekcją. Wszytko jest w nich idealne, od ich konsystencji do intensywności kolorów. Nie zapomnijmy także o ich nazwach. Velvet Teddy to chyba najsłodsza możliwa nazwa.

TURN OFF ALL THE LIGHTS, LET THE MORNING COME

The weeks leading up to my big move have been extremely stressful. I've been facing a lot of choices and recently I made a decision about leaving my home in Belgium forever the evening after our last day of school which I was trying to postpone as much as I could but I couldn't really help it because exams to my dream school are taking place the next morning and then there is no point in going back. Besides, I've had to clear out every corner of my room, leaving my bookshelf and closet almost completely empty. I've been saving up money for months to go on a huge shopping spree and I've already placed some exciting orders from Nastygal and Topshop which I'm really looking forward to getting in a couple of weeks so I can finally fill up that empty closet of mine. So far, I'm stuck with a little bit over 10 t-shirts and some pants. I'm thinking of setting up a clothing rack with my more "exciting" pieces which will make dressing up in the morning easier... (This has very quickly turned into a stream of consciousness, I just had so much to share.)
