OBSESSED WITH LOAFERS/SKIMMERS

Loafers just seem to be the most comfortable thing and they're really casual and go with so many things. I'm really craving 3 types of those right now.

1) Leopard Print

I'm torn between those two pairs. The first pair from ALDO are the cutest skimmers ever. I love the pointy toe and the print is really cute. They're cheaper than the second pair- about 20 euros. But loafers are loafers. I saw the second pair in Zara and fell in love. I can think of so many outfits for which the loafer would work better than the skimmer. However, it's too expensive for my teen budget and the print is not exactly what i wanted, so I would rather buy the skimmers.

2) Basic Black

The first pair from ALDO is the perfectly shaped skimmer, just a dream. It's semi elegant so it would go with a dress as well and I'm sick and tired of my Ecco black flats which are completely worn out. The second one from Urban Outfitters is so amazing. The metal cap adds a bit of an edge so I'm loving it. I really want a basic black skimmer or a loafer but the decision is so hard because both are amazing and I just don't have enough money for that kind of luxury, so if I had to pick just one pair I would get the loafers.

3) Glitter

Oh, how I love those blue glitter sneakers! They're from Urban Outfitters and they're so beautiful and just perfect. But, they're too expensive and I don't have that much blue stuff. The loafers from Zara are really cheap (40 euro) and they have them in my size but if they had them in blue I wouldn't hesitate for a minute. I'd get the blue sneakers though.

INTRODUCTION TO UNDERSTANDING MY BLOG (+OOTD)

Welcome, My name is Mia. Although I might not seem like it, I'm 14 years old. I spend far more time than I should reading blogs, articles on teenvogue.com, browsing past collections by my favorite designers and I sped too much money on Teen Vogue and clothes. I like to take fashion risks like mixing patterns or colours that are unlike to go together. However, I am scared of what the people around me will think of my outfits. So I invite you my dear reader, to critique me but also to be inspired by my blog.

WHY DID I CREATE THIS BLOG?

FITTING IN vs. STICKING OUT

Everyone has an inner desire to either stick out and to fit in. We all want to be perceived as the normal ones, but at the same time we want to be noticed for what we do or what we say. It's really hard to balance out those two desires.  There is a really thin line between "eccentric" and "plain weird" and some of us feel like we must be very careful not to cross that line.
This balance also applies to fashion. In the serious fashion industry taking risks with your style is highly appreciated. But what if you're just a teenager- like me- who wants to be like the rest but wants to stay true to their passion?

So to answer the question Why did i create this blog? I think my style is a bit more eccentric than others. I might be too scared of people's reaction when they see me, let's say, dressed head-to-toe in leather or wearing bright lipstick to school so I rarely take risks during school days. But i know from experience (being a faithful followed of We Wore What or Framboise Fashion) that there are a lot of people out there who appreciate those who express themselves through fashion. This blog is my device to share my passion with the world and hopefully one day i  will have some amazing followers who will be inspired by what i post and i will be inspired by their support to break out of my shell and keep taking those risks.

So stick around! x Mia
